Projects
Four Winds believes in the idea of community collaboration. Through our connections with our partners, we are able to offer a plethora of services.
Project NeeSimPom (Maidu word for family circle) is a college and career-oriented grant awarded to Four Winds. Our goal is to encourage successful learners, college-bound, and career-ready with four primary components based on scientific research and effective programs that have been modified to be culturally appropriate for Native students.
Our TUPE Project focuses on the development and maintenance of a traditional native plant garden. The garden is a dynamic tool to educate youth and community participants on the importance of identifying, cultivating, and harvesting native plants for tools, food, and medicine.
